The well-groomed, successful uncle of webdesign blogs. I’d gladly sign a petition to let these guys redo the entire internet. ALA is not about curvy, gimmicky, applesque design either: The look of the site is elegant to the extreme. Now view the source code—clean, efficient, and semantically correct. Now browse around and use some stuff. It’s intuitive and efficient from a usability standpoint. The brass ring is quality content, and they’ve grabbed it, hard—you could rule middle earth with the ring they grabbed. You won’t find a more insightful and relevant commentary on web design. They even update frequently. If Jesus’s had a blog, I bet it would be quite similar. Probably wouldn’t go for the Roman styling though.
